Discover

  • Miffy Museum in Utrecht: discover the world together with Miffy and her friends.
  • Het Spoorwegmuseum in Utrecht: discover this fascinating place about how the train changed the world. With a lifelike station, a theatre, exciting attractions and changing exhibitions and events.
  • Flipje & Streekmuseum in Tiel: dedicated to the history of Tiel and its surroundings, including its industrial history and Flipje, the advertising man of the factory De Betuwe.
  • Kasteel Amerongen in Amerongen: a beautiful 'Huys' from the 17th century. The Huys, the garden and the inventory form a unity that is not often seen in the Netherlands. Amerongen Castle has a rich family history of 700 years. The castle is surrounded by historic gardens and lies at the foot of the picturesque village of Amerongen.
  • Kasteel de Haar in Haarzuilens: the largest and most luxurious castle in the Netherlands. The medieval castle is characterised by its rich and extravagant history and the many special stories that are hidden behind its walls. Kasteel de Haar gives a unique insight into the flamboyant life of the van Zuylen family in the 20th century.
  • Paleis Het Loo in Apeldoorn: former royal palace and now a national museum. Also fun for children: the special children's audio tour!
  • Nederlands Openluchtmuseum in Arnhem: In this museum park, the history comes to life. In monuments, authentic objects and true stories. Take a journey through time. From two centuries ago to very recently.
  • Nationaal Militair Museum in Soesterberg: on the spot where the air force was established over 100 years ago, there is now the museum of the Netherlands' military history. Listen together to special stories from tough military men, take a flying lesson or learn how to salute like a real soldier.

Play and amusement parks

  • Ballorig in Veenendaal: a children's paradise where indoor play brings unlimited pleasure. Children let off steam on the playground equipment.
  • Kinderpretpark Julianatoren in Apeldoorn: a day out with children up to 10 years of age. There are over 60 attractions and shows with characters Jul & Julia.
  • Kinderparadijs Malkenschoten in Apeldoorn. Meet the animals on the farm. Discover the fun of building your own huts, find your way around the maze or play safely in the varied playgrounds. Follow the climbing and scrambling trail and get into the pedal boats!

Zoos

  • Ouwehands Dierenpark in Rhenen: admire the gorillas at a height of ten metres in Gorilla Adventure or spy on the bears from an observation post in the Bear Forest. There is always something new to discover in Ouwehands Dierenpark.
  • DierenPark Amersfoort in Amersfoort: The most playful zoo in the Netherlands. Discover it for yourself, every world is different.

Adventurous

  • Uitkijktoren De Kaap in Doorn: from a height of more than 25 metres, a magnificent view of almost the entire Utrechtse Heuvelrug.
  • Pyramide van Austerlitz in Woudenberg: the woody surroundings are perfect for a beautiful walk. The highlight is undoubtedly the 'Pyramid of Austerlitz', situated at the highest point of the Utrechtse Heuvelrug and built in 1804 as a tribute to Napoleon Bonaparte.
  • Lekkerbootjevaren.nl in Utrecht: specialized in canal trips (mostly with catering) in Utrecht. Choose for a canal trip with skipper (also known as rent a sloop) and sail through Utrecht.
  • Klimbos Zeist in Zeist: an adventurous experience for young and old. There are two challenging climbing routes, four ziplines and a play net between the trees at a height of no less than 8 metres.
  • Mountain biking: To ride the mountain bike routes on the Utrechtse Heuvelrug, a vignette (permit) is required, which can be purchased at the reception desk.
