Practical information for your stay at Molecaten Park Rondeweibos

On the day of arrival, you are welcome from 4:00 pm in your rental accommodation and from 1:00 pm on your camping pitch. After checking in, your holiday really starts! If you arrive outside the opening hours of the reception, we kindly ask you to contact us.

You can dispose of your waste in the waste containers at our park. The waste disposal points are shown on the park map. We ask that you separate glass, paper, residual waste and PD waste in the appropriate containers. PD waste (plastic packaging and drink cartons) must be handed in transparent bags. Please note that cans do not belong to PD waste.

The Molecaten app for Apple can be downloaded from the App Store! The Android version can be downloaded from the Google Play store.

In order to keep our park as quiet and safe as possible, we ask you to use your car on the park as little as possible. Please drive at a walking pace and do not let the engine run unnecessarily. During your stay on a camping pitch, one car is allowed on the pitch. For some chalets you can park on a designated parking area.

The barrier is closed from 11:00 pm to 07:00 am. If you want to enter the park outside of these hours, you can park your car on the car park outside of the barrier. However, you can leave the park by car at any time.

Beach gate

Barbecuing on charcoal and briquettes (not on a disposable barbecue) is allowed unless there is a prolonged drought and a temporary ban is in force due to natural fire risk. This is clearly indicated at the park or check natuurbrandrisico.nl. Barbecuing on propane gas and electric is always allowed. When barbecuing, take the necessary precautions and ensure that a bucket of water is always present.

Prohibited in order to ensure fire safety: use of liquid lighters, fire basket and torches or making an open fire.

Your visitors are welcome in our park, please register them at reception. Would your visitors like to stay overnight? Always register your guest at reception. For a guest on a camping pitch you pay €4.50 per night, excluding tourist tax. If there is room for a guest in your rental accommodation, you only pay tourist tax.
Visitors can park in the parking lot for €4.50 per day.
Good to know: Day visitors do not have access to the outdoor pool.

Because of the diversity of appliances and different brands and types, it is not possible for us to provide a description of every appliance. Fortunately, there is a website where you can find a lot of user manuals. Search here by brand, model and type for the correct description. Still too difficult? Please let us know!

Your pet is welcome on our camping pitches and in our rental accommodations. Please walk them off the grounds. Dogs are allowed to run free in the Annabos opposite our park and on the beach (not in the dunes). Dogs are allowed on the beach near the park all year round, except in the period 1 April - 1 October from 08:00 to 18:00 between posts 11.6 and 13.4 (this is Rockanje's bathing beach, 1st and 2nd stroke).

If your dog has relieved himself prematurely, please clean up his waste immediately so that it does not bother anybody else. The park has posts with poop bags and dustbins. We also ask you to keep your dog on a leash throughout the park, including on your camping pitch or in your rental accommodation. Do not let your pet on the couch or beds in your rental accommodation. If this is the case, we will charge you for the quilts (€ 20 p.s.) and pillows (€ 7.50 p.s.).

To allow all guests to enjoy their stay to the fullest, camping regulations have been drawn up. The complete regulations can be found on www.molecaten.com/en/conditions and can be obtained at the reception.

Are you enjoying yourself and would you like to stay a little longer? Please come to reception and ask about availability and possibilities to extend your stay on the camping pitch or in the rental accommodation.

Our park is situated in a nature reserve which we would like to keep beautiful together with you. Please enjoy your stay in nature with respect and do not leave any rubbish behind in the woods and dunes around our park and on the beach.

Young animals

All (young) animals that you come across in the park are best left alone and are not to be fed. Even when you think the animal is in distress. Often it is a young bird that is trying to fly (nestlings) and the 'parent' birds are nearby, but they do not dare to show themselves in the presence of people. Are you worried about a (young) animal at the park? Then please report it to the reception desk.

Ticks

Ticks occur throughout the country, in the forest, park, heathland, dunes or in the garden. They can be found near trees or bushes, in high grass or between dead leaves. They can bite into people's skin. A tick bite can make you ill. Check your body and clothes for ticks and tick bites. Ticks can bite anywhere, but prefer the groin, hollows of the knees, armpits, buttocks, edges of underwear, behind the ears and around the hairline in the neck. Got a tick bite? Remove the tick quickly and inform your doctor that you have suffered a tick bite.

Lighting

Our park is managed as naturally as possible. As the park is located in a nature reserve, lighting at night is limited as much as possible. Too much lighting disturbs animal life. The lighting in the grounds is set in such a way that you, as a guest, can still find your way around but it causes as little disturbance as possible to the nocturnal animals.

In case of fire

• Call 112
• Then call the reception/emergency number 0031 181 - 401 944 / 0031 6 - 5324 6526.
• Report the location of the fire clearly.
• There are hydrants on the entire site, keep them free at all times. The fire brigade will use them for extinguishing the fire. Make sure paths and roads are easily accessible and there are no obstacles (cars) in the way.
• Stay in the area, but choose a safe place. This applies to yourself and also to anyone else present. If possible, try to shut off the gas supply and the electricity connection in the accommodation. If possible, try to extinguish the start of a fire. The location of fire extinguishers are listed on the park map. A fire extinguisher must be available in every accommodation.

In case of an accident/serious injury

• Call 112
• Then call the reception/emergency number 0031 181 - 401 944 / 0031 6 - 5324 6526.
• Report clearly what is involved and where the victim is.
• Stay near the victim, give first aid if possible, while waiting for the ambulance. Do not lose sight of your own safety.

In case of a disaster

• Listen to Radio Rijnmond (central antenna: 96.1 Mhz, terrestrial: 93.4 Mhz).
• Follow the instructions of our staff. The park has several (emergency) entrances and exits.
• Make sure you always know where you are on the grounds and where the nearest exit is.

Tips

• Have the fire extinguisher in your camping equipment inspected annually. Only then can you rely on it in case of an emergency.
• Install smoke, gas and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Have your gas appliances cleaned regularly to prevent suffocation by carbon monoxide.

From Monday to Friday (not on public holidays) the regular bus 404 runs twice an hour during the morning and afternoon rush hour (school times) via Hellevoetsluis to Spijkenisse. The bus stop is located to the right of the main entrance. The regular and more frequent buses run from the centre of Rockanje (nearest stop on the Alardusdreef). It is not allowed to charge an electric car via an electricity point in/near the rental accommodation or on the camping pitch. To charge an electric car you must use a charging point in the area.

Incoming mail and parcels* can be collected form the log cabin next to reception. When ordering, please state your pitch number so that we know who the parcel is intended for. For outgoing mail, there is a mailbox on the main avenue of our park, which is emptied daily.

* You must collect your parcel from us on the day of delivery.

Between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am it should be quiet on our park. We ask you to be considerate of our other guests and the environment.

The beach is about a 10-15 minute walk from the park. Through the beach gate at the back of the park, you walk along a beautiful dune path along dune lakes and shifting dunes directly to the beach. Walking the dog, kite surfing and fishing are allowed on this stretch of beach near the park. However, these activities are not allowed in the period 1 April - 1 October from 08:00 to 18:00 between posts 11.6 and 13.4 (this is Rockanje's bathing beach, 1st and 2nd stroke).

After sunset, it is forbidden to walk on the dune path. This is because you are in a protected nature reserve.

Please report any faults in the electrical, central antenna or WiFi installation, or the water, sewage or gas pipes to reception. We will try to remedy it as soon as possible. Is reception closed? Then call us on the telephone number below. Reports submitted after 10 p.m. may be assessed and, if necessary, taken up after 9 a.m. the following day.

Our pitches with CAI connection are connected to their own central antenna system with digital signal only. You can connect your television to the system using a waterproof coaxial cable. Your television must be HD, MPEG-4 and DVB-C compatible.

Setting up a digital television signal
Reset the television to its factory settings, enter country code preferably Austria (if this does not work, try Luxembourg or Poland) and perform a full scan (this may take around 15 minutes). If the full scan does not find any stations, enter the following data:

• Frequency: 474.000 kHz (474 mHz)
• Network ID: 1111
• Modulation: QAM 256
• Symbol value: 6900

If your television cannot receive digital channels, you can rent or buy a decoder box and HDMI cable at reception (decoder € 40.00 and HDMI cable € 2.50). This decoder converts the digital signal to an analogue signal.

What to do before departure:

• Strip the beds, put the linen together with the kitchen and hand towels (in case of renting) in the laundry bag provided and place this near the front door.
• Do the dishes and/or empty the dishwasher and leave it clean.
• Leave the hob and kitchen inventory clean.
• Empty the refrigerator, set it to its lowest position and close the door.
• Set the thermostat to 10°C.
• Sweep the floors with the soft broom.
• Deposit bin bags and any other waste in the designated containers.

Leave your rental accommodation no later than 10.00 am.
Leave your key at reception.
Are you leaving outside the opening hours of the reception? Then you can leave the key in the mailbox at the reception.

Before 11:00 am, at the latest, you must vacate your camper or camping pitch and leave it clean. Please dispose of rubbish bags and any other waste in the appropriate containers. We would like to hear from you on departure how you experienced your stay.

As a guest*, you can use Molecaten WiFi free of charge at our park. During your stay, you can easily check your e-mail, check the weather of visit other websites. Login details will be sent to you by email (3 days before arrival) and can be found on the welcome information upon arrival.

The use of this network is subject to our WiFi-General Terms and conditions.

* For guests with a permanent pitch, we offer Internet access via an own WiFi network.

The outdoor pool is unsupervised, so for your own safety we ask you to observe the rules indicated and to supervise your (small) children. For the entrance you use the pass you receive at your arrival.
Good to know: Day visitors do not have access to the outdoor pool.
