Sustainability is a high priority at Molecaten. We respect people and the environment; after all, nature is inextricably linked with our parks. We believe it is important to preserve the natural environment so that future generations can enjoy its beauty. We do this by increasingly integrating sustainability into our business.
Green Key
We are proud to have Green Key certification for our parks. It is a mark of our sustainable commitment to conservation and guest comfort. You can see this for example in the waste separation and colourful flower meadows at our parks, but we do more!

What we do
We are conscious of our use of energy, water and materials. For example, we only wash when it is really necessary, we use environmentally friendly cleaning products and we fully focus on green energy and LED lighting. At night we use minimal site lighting, to disturb nature and nocturnal animals as little as possible. And we limit printed matter by sharing information primarily digitally and only printing when it is really necessary. In addition, our work clothing is sustainably produced and our fleet is expanding with electric cars.
On our parks, we cut the grass in a way that also benefits the animals. Some lawns are left a little longer to allow new plant species to grow. We also do not use chemical pesticides. We design our parks and green spaces according to an ecological plan and offer a range of nature activities for our guests.
Sustainability is also reflected in our restaurants. We cook with seasonal ingredients, serve responsibly sourced fish and local beef, and reduce food waste.
You can help!
Even as a guest, you can play an active role in keeping our park sustainable. Help us by:
- separating waste and putting it in the right containers;
- using energy and water wisely;
- switching off lights, appliances and heating in areas where they are left on or on unnecessarily;
- using chemicals such as cleaning products, batteries and paint sparingly.
Together we take care of our environment and nature.
