Legal reasons for use of personal data
The AVG obliges us to clarify the reasons (principles) why we need to store and process personal data. For Molecaten, the principles are that we:
- In order to enter into an agreement, need to save your details, for example when you make a reservation with us for a holiday or a reservation for a seasonal pitch;
- Based on your consent, can use personal data, such as when you subscribe to the newsletter;
- Have a legitimate business interest in using personal data from you, for example when you receive a personal welcome folder with your name on it upon arrival or when we ask you to participate in a customer satisfaction survey;
- Have to comply with a legal obligation, such as when the tax authorities ask Molecaten to provide access to all payments received in a quarter.
Third parties
For our services it is necessary to engage suppliers and other parties who sometimes receive your personal data from us. With all of these parties (officially mentioned 'processors') we enter into a contract that regulates how the personal data is used and secured, and that contract confirms that processors are not permitted to use personal data for their own purposes. For the record, Molecaten never provides data to third parties for commercial purposes.
Security
Molecaten devotes a great deal of attention to adequately securing the company and personal data that we store. The measures we take to this end are appropriate for the risk of these data being lost or otherwise used unintentionally.
How long will data be kept
Molecaten retains data for as long as it is necessary to achieve the objectives mentioned above, which therefore differ from one category to another. We then remove or anonymise the relevant data.
