Practical information for your stay at Molecaten Park Van Iterson

You can dispose of your waste in the waste containers at our park. The waste disposal points are shown on the park map. We ask that you separate glass, paper, residual waste and PD waste in the appropriate containers. PD waste (plastic packaging and drink cartons) must be handed in transparent bags. Please note that cans do not belong to PD waste.

The Molecaten app for Apple can be downloaded from the App Store! The Android version can be downloaded from the Google Play store.

By using the app, we limit the amount of printed material. That is important to us at Molecaten!

In order to keep our park as quiet and safe as possible, we ask you to use your car as little as possible at the park. Please drive at walking pace and do not let the engine run unnecessarily. With the parking ticket you can park your car in the designated parking area. Visitors pay € 4.50 per car.

Barbecuing on charcoal and briquettes is allowed unless there is a prolonged drought and a temporary ban is in force due to natural fire risk. This is clearly indicated at the park or check natuurbrandrisico.nl. Barbecuing on propane gas and electric is always allowed. When barbecuing, take the necessary precautions and ensure that a bucket of water is always present.

Please note, the use of disposable barbecues is never allowed. Also prohibited in order to ensure fire safety: use of liquid lighters, fire basket and torches or making an open fire.

Your visitors very welcome in our park, please sign them up at the reception desk. Would your visitors like to stay the night? Always register your guest at reception.

To allow all guests to enjoy their stay to the fullest, camping regulations have been drawn up. The complete regulations can be found on www.molecaten.com/en/conditions and can be obtained at the reception.

Our park is situated in a nature reserve which we would like to keep beautiful together with you. Please enjoy your stay in nature with respect and do not leave any trash behind in the woods and dunes around our park and on the beach.

Ticks

Ticks occur throughout the country, in the forest, park, heathland, dunes or in the garden. They can be found near trees or bushes, in high grass or between dead leaves. They can bite into people's skin. A tick bite can make you ill. Check your body and clothes for ticks and tick bites. Ticks can bite anywhere, but prefer the groin, hollows of the knees, armpits, buttocks, edges of underwear, behind the ears and around the hairline in the neck. Got a tick bite? Remove the tick quickly and inform your doctor that you have suffered a tick bite.

AED

The AED can be found next to the reception entrance. The AED box can be opened by anyone if the situation requires it. After calling 112, always call the emergency number 0031 181 - 401 200 / 0031 6 - 2267 5997, so that we can provide assistance.

In case of fire

• Call 112
• Then call the reception/emergency number 0031 181 - 401 200 / 0031 6 - 2267 5997.
• Report the location of the fire clearly.
• There are hydrants on the entire site, keep them free at all times. The fire brigade will use them for extinguishing work. Make sure that paths and roads are easily accessible and there are no obstacles (cars) in the way.
• Stay in the area, but choose a safe place. This applies to yourself and also to anyone else present. If possible, try to shut off the gas supply and the electricity connection in the accommodation. If possible, try to extinguish the start of a fire. A fire extinguisher must be available in every accommodation.

In case of an accident/serious injury

• Call 112
• Then call the reception/emergency number 0031 181 - 401 200 / 0031 6 - 2267 5997.
• Report clearly what is involved and where the victim is.
• Stay near the victim, give first aid if possible, while waiting for the ambulance. Do not lose sight of your own safety.

In case of a disaster

• Listen to Radio Rijnmond (central antenna: 96.1 Mhz, terrestrial: 93.4 Mhz).
• Please follow the instructions of our staff. The park has several (emergency) entrances and exits.
• Make sure you always know where you are on the grounds and where the exit is.

Tips

• Have the fire extinguisher in your camping equipment inspected annually. Only then can you rely on it in case of an emergency.
• Install smoke, gas and carbon monoxide detectors.
• Have your gas appliances cleaned regularly to prevent suffocation by carbon monoxide.

Ou rpark is surrounded by greenery and nature. As a result, insects and rodents may be present at our park. We regularly inspect our campsites and treat any infestation in an environmentally and animal-friendly way. To prevent problems, we ask that you take your waste to the recycling station on time and do not leave it lying around. If you experience any problems with pests, please report it to the reception, and we will be happy to assist you.

You can collect incoming mail and parcels at reception. When ordering, please state your pitch number so that we know who the package is intended for. Outgoing mail can be handed in at reception and will be collected from Tuesday to Saturday.

Between 11:00 pm and 7:00 am it should be quiet on our park. We ask you to be considerate of our other guests and the environment.

Please report any faults in the electrical, central antenna or WiFi installation, or the water, sewage or gas pipes to reception. We will try to remedy it as soon as possible. Is reception closed? Then call us on the telephone number below. Reports submitted after 10 p.m. may be assessed and, if necessary, taken up after 9 a.m. the following day.

Our pitches with CAI connection are connected to their own central antenna system with digital signal only. You can connect your television to the system using a waterproof coaxial cable. Your television must be HD, MPEG-4 and DVB-C compatible.

Setting up a digital television signal
Reset the television to its factory settings, enter country code preferably Austria (if this does not work, try Luxembourg or Poland) and perform a full scan (this may take around 15 minutes). If the full scan does not find any stations, enter the following data:

• Frequency: 474.000 kHz (474 mHz)
• Network ID: 1111
• Modulation: QAM 256
• Symbol value: 6900

If your television cannot receive digital channels, you can buy a decoder box and HDMI cable at reception (decoder € 40.00 and HDMI cable € 2.50). This decoder converts the digital signal to an analogue signal.
