Enjoy the cosy Christmas markets in the centre of Bruges.
Hundreds of Christmas trees and thousands of lights make Bruges completely irresistible during Wintergloed, as the entire city is transformed into a true winter wonderland. There are more than 500 Christmas trees, often metres high, and 41 decorated streets and squares.
Nothing but wonderful winter warmth. Bruges wrapped up in a bow.
The King Albert I Park is also not to be missed during Wintergloed. Young and old alike can enjoy themselves to their heart's content on the ice rink. Open daily from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. (Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve from 10 a.m. to 6.30 p.m./ Christmas Day and New Year's Day from 12 noon to 10 p.m.)
After all that effort, you can visit the adjacent Winter Bar.
Every Saturday and Sunday, and every day from Thursday 25 December to Wednesday 31 December during this period, there is end-of-year shopping. During these shopping days, you can travel free of charge on De Lijn buses within the territory of Bruges and to/from the surrounding municipalities.

Winter in Ghent means cosiness throughout the city.

From 5 December 2025 to 5 January 2026, you can pay a magical winter visit to the count in the Winter Wonder Castle. Combine all this with the funny stories of Flemish comedian Wouter Deprez in your ears and visit the atmospheric winter bar. An enchanting experience for young and old alike.

Would you like to come and enjoy skating on the ice rink in Sluis?
From Saturday 13 December to Sunday 4 January, you can once again enjoy skating on the ice rink in Sluis. The ice rink has been a great success for many years, as evidenced by the many enthusiastic responses from visitors.
The ice rink covers the entire Groote Markt in Sluis, and what makes it special is that it is built around the old “Wilhelmina tree”.
Especially for the youngest skaters, there will be a separate toddler rink where they can learn the basics of skating at their own pace. Of course, aids have also been provided.
The adjacent N'Icebar has a cosy seating area overlooking the ice rink, where you can relax with a drink and enjoy watching the skaters. This is also where you can buy tickets, hire skates and use the toilets. In the evenings, there are regular activities in the N'Icebar.
The ice rink is open from Saturday 13 December to Sunday 4 January, except for Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve (open until 6 p.m.) and 1 January.

As a teenager, guitarist Joep Pelt went to the south of the USA to learn the blues. There he met old heroes who taught him the typical Delta Blues style. Pelt fell hopelessly in love with the blues and decided to dig deeper. In the musical one-man show "From Mali to Mississippi" he tells the story of the West African roots of the blues, from there he leads along the Caribbean slave routes to his birth in the south of the USA and how the blues changed music history forever. With stories, photos, historical pictures and of course the many songs that Joep has collected along the way, he takes you on a special musical adventure.

Two guides will take you on a tour of the Waterdunen nature reserve! You will walk 3.5 kilometres along boardwalks, bridges, viewing screens and birdwatching huts. During this guided nature walk, waterfowl are the main attraction at Nature Exploration. The Sophiapolder is a beautiful lake area located south of Oostburg. During the winter months, numerous species of waterfowl can be observed here.
